First up is the Mud Exfoliator (hardly a snip at £13.50 for 100ml but trust
me, it’s worth every penny), a lightweight scrub that “peels” surface cells
and claims to even out skin complexion. After just a few days I have noticed
that the obvious pores around my nose and chin appear radically reduced and
my skin is considerably smoother. Ahava attribute this to the rejuvenating
Mineral Skin Osmoter™ present in their products: an anti-ageing compound
which helps skin achieve its optimum balance of moisture.
Which aptly brings me to the follow on product, Source Protective
Moisturiser (rrp £21.95 for 50mls), which need only be used sparingly as it
can appear greasy when it first goes on. Despite seeing a reduction in the
fine forehead lines I usually hide under my fringe, this was my least
favourite of the products because of its oily feel. I prefer a more
lightweight product and think perhaps the Protective Moisteriser is better
suited to mature skin.
However, I was a fan of both the Source Gentle Body Exfoliator (rrp £10.50
for 200ml) and Mineral Body Lotion (rrp £16.50 for 250ml). Despite not
seeing any marked changes after using the Exfoliator, the combined effects
of the mineral scrub with the Mineral Body Lotion were impressive. My skin
felt soft, smooth and glowing, and I didn’t need to slather myself in half
the bottle to do this, making it very cost-efficient. My only complaint
would be that the Body Lotion did have the distinct aroma of incense and I
would have preferred a more subtle perfume, but I am willing to put up with
it, given that it’s made my legs look and feel wonderful.
The perfect package for healthy spring skin and gorgeous pins!
