Since I started reviewing products, my sons have enjoyed various treats but my husband has had to patiently wait his turn. So imagine his surprise when I handed him my latest delivery from Royal Mail and announced: “this is for you.”

I had passed him a bottle of Bob Norburn 3-in-1 Pre-Shave, Shave Cream & Moisturiser (£18.94 for 100ml) which is a non-foaming and non-greasy cream applied to the skin, both before and after shaving. When smoothed directly onto dry skin, the cream forms a see-through barrier that the razor glides through, without having to go over the same spot more than twice. And it works just as well with an electric razor as disposables.

My hubby was raving about the Pre-Shave cream from the first shave. He was impressed with the way it applied, the smell (not unlike chocolate!) and ultimately that his face wasn’t raw and inflamed as can happen with ordinary foam. In fact, it came up in conversation with friends and was recommended highly as a repeat-buy.

There was the point that why spend almost £20.00 when you could spend 99p on a can of foam? Well that would depend on your shaving preference. The most obvious thing is that it is a complete pre, post and after shave all in one. Then there is the fact that I wouldn’t feel bad about pinching a bit to shave my legs as it is suitable for both men and women. The Grape-Seed Oil, a major constituent ingredient, is a potent anti-oxidant and from an ethical point of view, the product cruelty free and suitable for Vegans. And a little goes a long way. Weighing it up, you get what you pay for.

There is no denying that this is the Ultimate Shaving Experience. Every website and review I have seen rates this product 5/5. Maybe it is a little pricey for your day-to-day shopping but for what it does, it is definitely worth treating yourself.
