Beauty Tried & Tested: Elemis Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Gel Mask

Elemis Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Gel Mask
review by Alison Daniels

Ever wished you could just start again with your skin? Fed up with dull, sluggish, tired uneven skin? Then you might want to try the Elemis tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Gel Mask.

Elemis’ latest mask promises to refresh and resurface tired skin. It is ideal when your skin is stressed, blotchy, too shiny or just in need of a boost. The gel mask uses three enzymes to sooth, refine and rejuvenate your skin and is packed with botanical extracts. Acerola Cherry is a Brazilian superfruit that is high in anti-oxidants and vitamins A and C which acts as a gentle acidic exfoliator. The Tetra Peptide complex mimics the collagen naturally produced in the skin to strengthen and firm. Great Burdock and Erysiumum combine to slough off dead skin cells and speed up renewal of skin cells for a younger, fresher matt looking skin. The star ingredients are Elemis’s enzyme trio which work with the White truffle extract to dissolve the dead skin cells and boost the cell metabolism.

Unlike salon peels, which can leave you with redness and a burning sensation, this is a gentle product, that has an immediate effect after just one application, but works best when used a couple of times a week over six to eight weeks. Don’t apply it too close to your eyes or lips.
The clear gel does tingle on application, but not unpleasantly so, and quickly settles down to give a cooling effect. After eight to ten minutes, you can rinse off the residue or use the Elemis mitt and your skin will be fresh and glowing.  For an extra boost follow it up with Elemis’s Pro-Collagen Quartz Lift Mask or Pro-Collagen Marine Cream.

If ever there was a product which delivers on its promise of renewing and repairing skin, this is it.
