On the first night, I reached for the Nude shade. When I first opened the packaging, I thought the colour looked rather intense, but on application the colour wasn’t as dark as I’d thought it would be. The lip tint was really easy to apply, and the colour was subtle yet noticeable. Almost like a tinted balm, the tint stayed on for a couple of hours, and I was really impressed with the feeling on my lips. The product didn’t clog up or crease, instead it glided and felt smooth all night long. The Veil colour was again intense looking in the applicator, but the look was more subtle and a pretty pink.
The Bloom Lip Gloss was up next. Although it took a few more dabs of the applicator in order for the colour to show, a darker pinky gloss looked great and stayed on well. Glossy and smooth, it was another winner for us.
The Brow Gel was the final product put to the test. A clear non-sticky gel that rounded-up stray hairs, it was a great product for keeping neat brows. My eye brows are fair so the result wasn’t as dramatic as those with darker hairs, and the rest of the “hens” found it gave them a more dramatic look.
On the final morning, I asked for my products back, so I could come home and write-up our verdicts. Needless to say, one went missing, as everyone commented on how great they were. My cousin Claire realised it was still in her bag, and handed over the Veil Lip Tint, rather unwillingly I must say!
The Lip Tints withstood a lot of cocktails and karaoke, as did the Brow Gel. It’s great to be able to have the Nude Lip Tint for during the day, then relying on the Veil Lip Tint for the night. Usually, I use a selection of products before I’m happy, but I can safely say the Bloom products will be a regular in my make up bag. My eyes have been opened to the world of Bloom... and I love it!
All Bloom products are available at Superdrug. The Lip Tint costs £10, the Lip Gloss costs £8 and the Brow Gel is priced at £9. |
