Beauty Tried & Tested: Chanel Sublimage

Chanel Sublimage
Review by Amy Castle

With the cold nights drawing-in, keeping skin moisturised and glowing is top of every woman’s agenda at this time of the year.

For me, skincare has always been important in order to keep my dry skin refreshed and the dark circles under my eyes at bay.

I was excited to try the Chanel Sublimage range of skincare, featuring the brand new Essential Revitalizing Concentrate.

As always, the packaging from this brand is swanky and luxurious. Perhaps I’m an advertiser’s dream, as I always find the packaging of a product helps me make up my mind about the product. This packaging certainly put me in a good mood, with its shiny gold exterior.

I tried the Concentrate, as mentioned above, the Essential Regenerating Mask, Essential Regenerating Cream and the Essential Regenerating Eye Cream. Used religiously in a skincare regime that took about 10 minutes each morning and evening, I saw results in a matter of days.

The first sign of the range doing wonders for my skin was how smooth my face felt after using the Regenerating Cream.  It was like no other cream: it wasn’t greasy, and didn’t clog onto my skin, but instead glided over the surface.

Then I used the Concentrate, only a small pump was needed, but my skin started glowing in a matter of days. My mum also used the products and loved how her fine lines on her forehead seem reduced after about a week or so of using the creams. My dad laughed at first, but true enough, agreed that they had reduced a great deal.

So, you’re asking: what do these magical products contain? Firstly, something called Planifolia PFA, a powerful plant extract taken from the centre of the Vanilla Planifolia plant. How amazing Vanilla Planifolia sounded, I thought! Next, Argan Oil which is known for its nurturing and moisturising qualities. Other ingredients in the range include camellia, canola and jojoba oils.

The products were also a dream to apply - and as I always mention with Chanel - the wonderful, recognisable aroma was once again pleasing my senses.

The range starts at £120 and goes up to £290 for the Concentrate. Although quite pricey, I can’t tell you just how great this range is. My skin looked radiant after hardly any time at all, and my mum was ecstatic with the reduction in lines and dark areas around the eyes. I have honestly never been so impressed with a skincare range, and urge you all to give it a go!

Chanel... you had me at Vanilla Planifolia.
