Cue Rodial’s Glamtox Night, a cream containing super vitamin A ingredient retinol to re-surface and plump up the skin. Vitamin A is known for its anti-ageing properties, and is great for increasing collagen in the skin.
The product absorbed quickly and easily, and wasn’t greasy. Instead, the serum glided onto skin, and after 6 weeks of use, my skin felt more supple and was definitely more radiant.
The real sell for me was when a friend commented: “your foundation looks good.” I wasn’t wearing any; needless to say I am definitely sold on this product.
Another product I apply at night is fake tan, as I am too impatient to wait for it to dry during the day (yes, my pyjamas are covered in it).
Rodial’s Brazilian Tan is a gorgeous coconut-smelling product with an instant colour. Easy to apply (and see where it’s going), the tan was absorbed really quickly and its instant colour was attractive and natural looking.
I tried the Light and Dark versions of the Brazilian Tan. The Light was best for light to medium skin tones, whilst the Dark provided me with a deeper and more sun kissed look, perfect for evenings or for those with darker hair of for those who suit a darker tan.
What I really loved about the tan was the fact it almost told me when it was ready to come off. No, I wasn’t talking to my best-loved products, but it rubbed off when it was ready – an indication of when my tan ritual was to begin again.
Some tans I have tried tend to come off in some places but stick to others, landing me with an uneven tan. But the Brazilian Tan came off in one swoop, meaning I could re-apply the same night (and not spend days scrubbing and exfoliating until my arms and legs are red raw!)
By the morning, I had a natural-looking rich tan and a smooth and moisturised face, hurrah. I think these products will be, and indeed should be, great little Christmas list must-haves this year. |
