Beauty Tried & Tested: The best fragrances for men this season

Hugo Boss Bottled Night
With a strong, woody aroma, the newest release from Hugo Boss is masculine and has real depth. With top notes of birch leaf, an intense aroma is expelled from the simple yet stylish bottle. Middle/heart notes of cardamom add warmth to the fragrance, whilst musk and Louro Amarelo Wood add the real depth at the bottom. Perfect for evening wear, the fragrance is adult and inspiring.

Ralph Lauren Big Pony Collection
Ralph Lauren has launched a series of four fragrances to its Big Pony collection.  The first fragrance in the series is a cool and light scent that is perfect for everyday wear. There are notes of grapefruit, and a sporty vibe is present. The scent is easy to wear and isn’t too heavy on the skin, so perfect for wearing during the daytime.

The second fragrance is spicy, and heavier than the first. With dark chocolate and musk, the scent says cinnamon to me, and is delicately spiced. This chapter in the quad of Ralph Lauren’s newest fragrances is perfect for this time of year: spicy and warm.

Diesel Only the Brave
Unlike any men’s fragrance I have smelt before, Only the Brave is an almost sweet scent, with a fruity top note. Similar to the first fragrance in the Big Pony collection, the Diesel fragrance is cool and sporty, yet goes to another level with a vanilla-like aroma. Despite its sweetness, the fragrance is very masculine, and still manages to stay true to the ubër-cool Diesel name. Like nothing I have smelt before, I suspect this fragrance may be a big hit this season.
