Moisturising. Yes, I know, it is the answer to my dry skin woes, but sometimes a girl doesn’t have the time to religiously slap it on every hour, or the room in her bag for pots of heavy cream to be carried around as artillery against dry skin.
The Yves Saint Laurent Top Secrets range came to my rescue when I discovered easily transportable, and, moreover, brilliant little treatments and tools for dry skin.
The Flash Radiance Skincare Brush is a handbag-friendly fusion of moisturiser and applicator in one. From with the 40ml tube, the liquid is squeezed-out via the soft brush. The velvety liquid is easily applied to the skin, and can be taken anywhere for quick and easy application when you feel you need it most.
The Restoring Skincare Palette, consisting of a face cream and lip balm duo, is neatly presented in a compact mirror type ensemble. Once again, perfect for the handbag and easy to apply, especially with the tiny plastic scoop. Aimed at night-time use, the duo is said to relieve skin of stress, pollution and climate changes.
Also in the range is the Natural Action Granule-Free Exfoliator. I know what you’re thinking, and I thought it too. But yes, it can exfoliate without having granules, as I later found out. On first application, the liquid is like glue, sticky and actually quite bizarre. However, after massaging into skin for only a matter of minutes, the liquid transforms into a watery texture, and once dabbed-off with a wet flannel, my skin was extremely soft and supple.
Finally in the range is the Flash Touch Wake-Up Eyecare. Used in the mornings, this little pen was great for getting rid of dark circles and puffy eyes. As a clear liquid, the result I felt was not instant, but after a few days of using the product, I could see a difference in the appearance and condition around my eyes.
The Top Secrets range really impressed me with the velvet-like texture of all four products. A definite Christmas List ask this year. |
