During the winter, skin can become dry and in need of moisture. Ahava’s trio of Velvet Cream Washes are the answer to all your dry skin woes this season.

The trio, priced at £17.50, consists of three luxurious blends to lather-up dry and tired skin.

I tried the Hibiscus & Fig and Lotus & Chestnut variants, and was pleased with the results even after the first use.

The Hibiscus & Fig cream wash smelt sweet and fruity – the fig was really recognisable. The product  (which is aimed at very dry skin) lathered-up really well, and was unlike any other bodywash as it has a texture and appearance like a good moisturiser you would use: not a bodywash you’d expect to wash-off!

The Lotus & Chestnut cream wash smelled less sweet and had a cleaner and fresher smell than the fig one. It was similar to a cotton-scented candle, and was soothing on the skin. Aimed at sensitive skin, the cream wash was soft and not too strong-smelling.

All Ahava’s Mineral Botanic Velvet Cream body washes are free-from parabens, Sodium Lauryl Sulphate and Sodium Laureth Sulphate – all nasty chemicals. They are also not tested on animals, and are allergy-tested.
