  Jane Scrivner Detox Range
Review by Amy Castle

Detox: that little word that can mean so many things. For me, detoxing is cutting out things that you love to gain something beneficial. So I was more than pleased to learn of a great range using natural products with the tag of Detox attached that didn’t mean cutting something out.

Beauty Tried & Tested: Jane Scrivner Detox Range

The Mineral Bath and Body Scrub is a mix of Himalayan salts and essential oils. The scrub can be used dry as an intense exfoliator, or can be put under hot water to make any bath a detoxing treat. I found the scrub was great as a dry scrub, but was unfortunately too intense for me under hot water. The smell was also rather powerful and verged on unpleasant. But for the benefits my glowing skin showed the next day, I was impressed with the product.

The Detox Candle, which comes in four great colours, looks like it came straight from a Morrocan market, brightly-coloured and striking. The candle is handmade, and is naturally fragranced with detoxing essential oils. It features pure Brazilian quartz crystal grinds, and its scent is sweet and inspiring.

The range is interesting as not only does is feature some great ingredients, but it offers detoxing in different forms: I never would have thought a candle could provide benefits, but after having a hot bath with the scrub and lighting the candle, I felt relaxed and cleansed.

The Scrub is priced at £37.99 for 500g and the Detox candle is £45. Visit www.janescrivner.com for a stockist near you.
