Which means there are a few unfamiliar and rather exotic-sounding ingredients in the line-up. Manuka honey we know (and love), but how about totara (antiaxidant-rich), harakeke (soothing) and kumerahou (cleansing)? Added to the likes of these are pure essential oils, citrus oils and flower extracts – formulations to ensure skin care that does the job while caring for the skin in a natural way. All the products use natural preservatives and fragrances – as well asnaturalthe key ingredients. No parabens, sodium laurel sulphates or petroleum/mineral-based oils were troubled in the making of this line.
Which is all very comforting when it's a product that you use liberally, everyday, like a body wash. I've been waking up to the subtle botanical aroma of Refreshing Body Wash (£13.80 - 200ml) and the nearest I can liken the scent to is a summer meadow – it's a lovely evocative smell. As well as the Manuka honey and cleansing kumerahou, the wash also contains shea butter – another aid to softening the skin.
Having very dry skin, I usually prefer a heavy duty body butter, but I'm maintaining the 'refreshing' aspect of my new regime with Living nature's Refreshing Body Lotion (£18.40 - 200ml) which is more of a fluid than a full-on cream. Thanks to the honey plus Manuka extract and shea butter for extra free-radical protection and nourishment, it does however feel as though it's tackling my dry skin – particularly on my very stubborn legs. And there's the added bonus of it absorbing quite quickly.
It's an incredibly comprehensive range, not just on the bath and body front, but also taking care of every facial skin type and issue. There's even Firming Flax Serum to soften lines, as well as oils, masks and exfoliator. Added to this there are hair products, products for him as well as mothers and babies and cosmetics for face, eyes and lips – colours being natural rather than bold and vibrant. All very tempting!
