I have been using the new Special Edition Source Smoothing Moisturiser £29 - 75ml) created for normal to dry skins, for two weeks now and through all the rubbish, schizophrenic weather that we've been having (blowing a gale and driving rain as I type) it's kept my skin feeling truly soft and hydrated.
A little of this rich cream goes a long way, it absorbs pretty quickly and I rather like the faintly ozonic, fresh fragrance. And as it has been dermatologically tested for use on sensitive skin, it feels soothing too – especially on the prone-to-flaring up parts of my face.
Ahava's particular USP is the fact that all it's products – for face and body – are formulated using Dead Sea minerals, which are renowned for their therapeutic and beautifying properties. This moisturiser is enriched with a concentration of this beneficial cocktail, the Mineral Skin Osmoter™, which apparently penetrates deep into the skin to give long-lasting hydration and at the same time restore the skin's natural moisture balance. It also protects against climatic and environmental damage.
So why is this 'Special Edition'? It is in fact the same product that is available in a 50ml pot (an Ahava best-seller in fact) but now available in a very handy, pump-action tube and with an extra 25ml.
