It’s hard to know what to call it exactly. A cream? A gel? Clarins call it a whipped mousse, but whatever it is, this little pot of caramel-coloured product is a dream to apply. Instantly melting onto the skin and providing a smooth finish, it gives an instant bronzed complexion to the face and décolleté.
I find it so difficult to find a tanning product for the face that doesn’t look greasy and rub off too soon, but with the Instant Smooth Self Tanning I’m able to get the colour I want on the face and décolleté without compromising on the texture and feel.
After about 2 hours, the self tan aspect of the product had developed and my skin looked sun-kissed and natural.
Next up, the Clarins Delicious Self Tanning Cream for face and body, with... wait for it... cocoa. The lightweight silky cream was really easy to apply and added colour instantly which was great for even application. I used it on my upper body (as for my legs I just didn’t think I’d be able to use it sparingly enough), and loved the look it achieved. After a few hours, the cream had developed and I was left once again with a really natural-looking tan.
My only qualm is that it comes in a 125ml pot, which I found I used up really quickly.
The Instant Smooth Self Tanning, RRP £17, and Delicious Self Tanning Cream, RRP £21, are available at uk.clarins.com and at Clarins stockists. |
