Molton Brown’s Celestial Maracuja Sugar Polish contains organic maracuja passion flower, rosa mosqueta oil and organic raw sugars to scrub away dead skin cells, and leave skin smooth and moisturised.
The sugar granules were quite substantial in size, and I wondered if the product was going to be too harsh to use regularly. The directions tell you to mix before use, as the sugar and oil mixture separate slightly. When applied to damp skin, the product was bursting with moisture from the oil and the sugar granules were surprisingly delicate and non-abrasive.
After washing away with warm water, my skin felt amazingly soft and moisturised. The idea is that the sugar exfoliates whilst the oils are left on the newly replenished skin to continue to nourish. It really does prepare the skin and I found it great to use all over my body.
I definitely recommend the product for scrub worshippers and novices alike, as it’s gentle but really effective. Some won’t consider body scrub as a must-have product, but once used I predict the soft and fresh feeling it gives skin will make it top of anyone’s list.
