Guitar Hero: World Tour London Launch - Samuel Preston from The Ordinary Boys
Guitar Hero: World Tour London Launch

The Hoxton Bar & Grill was the venue for the London launch of the eagerly anticipated new release from the Guitar Hero stable. Whilst some punters were propping up the free bar others were showing off their skills on the available game pods, rocking their way through the game’s impressive set list.

Everyone’s focus was pulled to the stage for the main event, a concert played entirely on the games instruments and by bands formed from the audience, to varying degrees of success! Samuel Preston from The Ordinary Boys was on hand to kick things off in cardigan-tastic mod style. The amateur proceedings were bought to an end and Welsh Metalist’s ‘Bullet for my Valentine’ steered the evening to a rocking close with a brutally aggressive set including ‘Scream, Aim, Fire’ which features in the game.

Guitar Hero: World Tour is the first game in the series to feature instruments other than the standard guitar introducing a drum kit, second guitar and microphone to the party. For the first time all songs are originals, no covers, meaning you really get to party exactly as the god of rock and roll intended!

Guitar Hero: World Tour is out now on Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii.
