This season Oasis is proud to introduce the first collection to sit within the new Designer Collective sub brand. The Oasis Designer Collective will work as a platform to support immerging talent through seasonal collaborations. Season one presents three talented print graduates Clare Caudwell, Heather Reid and Sarah Bird each creating a unique print exclusively for the Oasis S/S09 collection due in selected stores and online from May. The collection compromises five individual pieces and four prints all unique to Oasis including Shift dresses, a Kimono, a Jumpsuit and a Maxi dress.

Each Garment has their own bespoke labelling and swing tags featuring biographical information on the designers. The beautiful White Rose Print was designed by Nottingham Trent textiles graduate Claire Caudwell and translated into a stunning shift and maxi dress by the Oasis in house design team. This print is inspired by Dutch flower paintings then digitally reworked to create the abstract pattern featured.

The inspiration came from the natural world in a digital age and creates a unique modern take on a traditional floral print. Sarah Bird a print textiles graduate from Bucks New University created the Abstract Daisy Print for the Oasis Spring Summer 09 collection. The print originated from a hand drawn magnolia flower which was then computer manipulated and created into a sleeveless shift dress by the Oasis design team. Perfect for those balmy summer nights and a must have for any summer wardrobe.

Our Feather Print Kimono and Large Feather Print jumpsuit both feature beautiful details that are so synonymous with the Oasis brand. Inspired by feathers and Art Deco they were designed by Heather Reid a Fashion Design graduate who specialised in print and embellishment at Northumbria University. The Large Feather Print is taken through to this seasons must have jumpsuit which is set to become a wardrobe staple for the season ahead. Alternatively for a softer silhouette opt for the Feather Print Kimono, perfect for day or night.
