Follow Your Heart is the debut album by Norwich-based solo artist Mat Riviere, who creates cinematic songs with minimal, rhythmic backing and intriguing lyrics sung in a distinctive, plaintive voice.
Organ and looped notes pile onto clanking rhythms, creating a sparse but evocative sonic construction. Follow Your Heart is released on fast-rising cult indie label, Brainlove Records and Mat’s music has already gained critical acclaim across the online and print music world.
Matt recently played an electrifying set on a bill also including The Drums, Metronomy, The Field and Micachu & The Shapes at Iceland's Airwaves Festival. His single ‘FHY’ was released to yet more rapturous praise and featured an ace remix package by like-minded electronic auters Napoleon IIIrd, Dreamtrak and Pagan Wanderer Lu, plus a live track from Airwaves and a brand new b-side.
