Scarlett Johansson has inked a deal to replace Penelope Cruz as the new face of Spanish fashion brand Mango. The US actress was chosen because, 'she embodies the urban, independent and cosmopolitan woman, and is also serene and elegant, yet fun-loving and youthful all at the same time, in keeping with the Mango image'.

She makes her debut in the autumn/winter 2009 ad campaign. Scarlett follows in the footsteps of previous faces including Milla Jovovich, Lizzy Jagger, Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova, Claudia Schiffer, Christy Turlington and Diane Kruger.
