London-based Turkish fashion designer Hakaan has been announced as the winner of the prestigious ANDAM International Grand Prize this week.

The designer receives 220k euros enabling him to show his collection during Paris Fashion Week in October; he will also open a French branch for his label with a studio in Paris. The winner was decided by a panel, consisting of the association's private and corporate partners and fashion professionals, including Hilary Alexander, Jefferson Hack and Alber Elbaz. Last year's winner was British designer Giles Deacon.
