The British Fashion Council has announced Glaswegian designer Christopher Kane as the winner of the second BFC/Vogue Fashion Fund. The prize includes £200k and a bespoke mentoring programme to assist Christopher in achieving his business goals for the next 12 months.

A panel of industry experts, chaired by Alexandra Shulman, selected Christopher as the winner based on his business plan and presentation.

The shortlisted designers who also presented to the panel were: Charlotte Olympia, E. Tautz, Jonathan Saunders, Nicholas Kirkwood, Osman Yousefzada, Peter Pilotto and Richard Nicoll.
