| The Future Of British Fashion: University Of Westminster Graduates Show Off Their Designs
University of Westminster recently kicked off the graduate fashion show season in style as collections from the brightest lights of the BA (Hons) Fashion Design degree graced the runway show which was held at Ambika P3 in London.
Guests included designers Todd Lynn, Roksanda Ilincic, Anthony Price and Carri Mundane, as well as representatives of Max Mara, Tom Ford, Alexander McQueen, Burberry, Abercrombie, Lulu Guinness, Religion and Selfridges.
Westminster’s BA in Fashion Design has a strong reputation within the industry and previous graduates whose designs have graced the runway show include Christopher Bailey, Markus Lupfer, Stuart Vevers, and Carrie Mundane of Cassetteplaya. This year's graduating students from Westminster have already worked for a number of international design houses including Chloe, Marc Jacobs, Burberry, Stella McCartney, Giles, Aitor Throup, Alexander McQueen, Thom Browne, and Paul Smith.
The University of Westminster is also hosting its first fashion portfolio at its headquarters on Regent Street which is a great opportunity for the fashion industry to view first-hand the work of tomorrow’s fashion designers today. On display will be all of this year’s graduate portfolios which cover all areas of design including menswear, womenswear, sportswear and accessories, as well as examples of final outfits from the students’ graduate collections.
