H & M is the Cream of the (Collaboration) Crop
By Sarah Potter

In the past few years, H&M collaborations have become bigger, bolder, and frankly better than anyone else's. Already having secured successful collaborations from the likes of shoe legend Jimmy Choo, Chanel's wonderboy Karl Lagerfeld and more recently Lanvin for H&M, they have come up trumps with a fusion between none other than Versace!

Launching at the end of the year, and no doubt topping the christmas list of every fashion forward male and female, it is already set to cause a storm on the high street. The Versace line is being sold as an 'Iconic Collection', producing the best of Versace rolled into one collection, rather than the usual Fusion Line H&M produce. This may be because Donatella Versace had previously told New York Magazine that a fusion line would 'confuse the brand', and that she had worked 'very hard to put the Versace line in the luxury section'.

Perhaps Donatella had a browse on EBay when the Lanvin for H&M collection was being auctioned for much, much more than it's relatively high street price tag! Either way, this much anticipated collection is going to be huge! And with vintage Versace shirts being worn by none other than trendsetter Lady Gaga, it seems this fashion flame has already started burning, and it's hot. Viva Versace!
