November 16 sees the opening of a retrospective at the Design Museum looking into the career of Sir Terence Conran. Titled Sir Terence Conran, The Way We Live Now, the exhibition runs until March 4, 2012 and will explore the designer's impact on contemporary life. The museum will also host a panel debate at Tate Modern on September 20 with guest speakers celebrating Sir Terence Conran's career.

All further details on the retrospective are tba. Separately, it was announced last week that the Conran Foundation has donated a cash gift towards the Design Museum's new development project, which includes it relocating from its current home at Shad Thames to the former Commonwealth Institute building. The move will give three times more space in which to show a wider range of exhibitions, showcase collections and extend the learning programme; the project is expected to be completed by 2014.
