We may think of Grace Kelly as a Princess now, but she was film star once - and will be again, when a film of a key period in her life hits Hollywood.

The as-yet-unamed film - described by insiders as similar to The King's Speech "in scope and tone" - focuses on a six-month-period in 1962 during which Monaco became embroiled in a dispute with French President Charles de Gaulle, who was unhappy with the principality's status as a tax haven. Kelly was said to have been key in the dispute's settlement.

The production is in its infancy, with the in-demand script byArash Amelhaving just been secured by European producer Pierre-Ange Le Pogam, but that didn't stop the Hollywood Reporter which announced the story mooting some suggestions for the lead role.
